BROTHERS is inspired by the novel by Erika Corvo "Fratelli dello Spazio Profondo". Many thanks to Erika for giving me the opportunity to travel in deep space with Brian, Stylo and Juno and, last but not least, for her friendship.

LAURA TI SALUTA IL VENTO is dedicated to the memory of Laura Antonelli, an italian actress died long before his real death. Nobody went to his funeral, just the wind was there. I like to think that this was the last caress of a gentle spirit to a person forgotten by everyone.

CINQUANTA PASSI DOPO IL FILARE DELLE NOCI (Fifty Steps after the Walnut-tree Row). I saw an old man on TV, years ago, who told the story about his comrades shot dead in war. He was telling what happened when the reporter asked to him where was the exact place of the execution. He replied: "It was there, just there... fifty steps after the walnut-tree row".

ANASTASIA, composed for the COUPS DE VENTS 2005/2006 competition and dedicated to my brother Enrico which gave me the idea for the title and created the imaginary plot for the non-existent movie about Anastasia Romanov and the fall of the Russian Empire. Many thanks for the support and valuable advice.

ANTHEM. This has been composed on piano in a few minutes. I'm not sure about the images linked to this song. I think I had the idea of a solemn procession or something like this. I was very uncertain about the word "anthem". I imagined this song also as my funeral march so it's something like a requiem or something similar. Well, in any case I consider it a kind of self-portait, something very personal and intimate, and it's one of my favourite compositions.
